Date: 8 October each year, to mark the founding of the Indian Air Force in 1932. 


2025: The 93rd Air Force Day, celebrated at Hindon Air Base. 


Over time, the event has included parades, flypasts, aerial displays, tributes to retired aircraft, and showcases of India’s air capabilities.

✳️ Highlights & Themes


1. Operation Sindoor


A key highlight in 2025 is Operation Sindoor, India’s response to terror infrastructure across the border. 


2. Aircraft & Parade Line-Up


Expect a display of frontline fighters (Rafale, Su‐30MKI, MiG-29), heavy transporters like C-17 and C-130J, helicopters like Apache & ALH, and indigenous systems including the Netra AEW&C. 

A tribute is also being made to the MiG-21 Bison, which is being retired after service of decades. 


3. The Role Beyond Warfare


The Air Force isn’t just about combat. On this day, its humanitarian & disaster relief efforts are also highlighted — rescue missions, aerial supply drops, and more. 


4. Drill Teams & Ceremonial Units


The Air Warrior Drill Team (AWDT) often performs precision drills during the parade.
